The forgotten man of the Welterweight division “The Natural” Larry Ekundayo returns to the ring on 12th July appearing on the undercard of the sensational “Azonto Time” card at York Hall, Bethnal Green which is already sold out at the Box office.

Ekundayo won Prizefighter in 2012 with wins over Craig McEwan, Kris Carslaw and Terry Carruthers. Everyone was impressed that the inexperienced Ekundayo won previously had only 2 professional fights was able to win this tournament so well and the world appeared to be his oyster at this stage.

However 2013 only saw Larry venture into the ring on one occasion.

Now with a new management team, Ben Gray , Commercial Manager from World Class athletes looking after his affairs and Harry Andrews training Ekundayo is intent on making a breakthrough in 2014.

He has a 6 round contest against tough Bulgarian Samit Hyuseinov (5-4) before expecting to go on to bigger things in 2014 and 2015.

Larry appears on the undercard of the enthralling commonwealth Lightweight title fight between knockout artist Richard Commey from Ghana (17-17 with 17 KO’s) and former British Champion Gary Buckland.

The Southern Area Light-Heavyweight title features a  battle of the undefeated between Miles Shinkwin (8-0) and Joel McIntyre (11-0) whilst the Southern Area Light-Middleweight title is on the line where undefeated Champion Freddie Turner (11-0) takes on Goodwin’s Kris Agyei Dua who makes his third attempt at the title.

Former Commonwealth champion Tony Conquest is on the undercard alongside Danny Cassius Connor and many more.

Tickets are sold out. Some boxers participating have a few remaining.

The action starts at 4pm in the afternoon so will be a long and exciting evening.
