Erislandy Lara (15-1, 10KOs) reached out to BoxingScene.com to discuss last Saturday's twelve round majority loss to Paul "The Punisher" Williams (40-2, 27KOs) at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Although most ringside observers, and HBO, had Lara well ahead on points - the three ringside judges scored the fight in favor of Williams, with scores of 115-114, 116-114 and 114-114.

Lara told BoxingScene that Williams admitted defeat in the ring and promised to grant him a rematch.

"I feel horrible, disgusted and robbed of the best victory of my life. I thought I did enough to win the fight and I put on a great show for the fans. They really deserved it and I promise to come back harder and stronger than ever. I want to thank HBO for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime but I'm also sad - because in the end I had three blind, confused thieves steal away what I had worked for," Lara told BoxingScene. "I hope they can live with their decision because I left my mother, kids and entire family in Cuba to better my life and theirs, and it's not fair to me or the sport."

"I am expecting Golden Boy to file a protest and fight for what is rightfully mine - the win. I am the new Punisher. And a word to Paul Williams, you are no longer the most feared fighter in the world, so fight me again or retire. You promised me and my team a rematch in the ring when you told me that I won the fight. So be a man and fight."
