On Wednesday morning, Polish light heavyweight contender Dawid Kostecki (39-1, 25 KOs) was released from prison after completing a two and a half year sentence for being the ringleader of a prostitution ring.

When Kostecki was sentenced, back in 2012, the unexpected outcome ultimately canceled a scheduled fight with former four division champion Roy Jones Jr. The fight was scheduled for June 30th at the Atlas Arena in Lodz. Kostecki was replaced on ten days notice by Pawel Glazewski, who nearly pulled off the upset of Jones.
