Kevin Mitchell is likely to target Australia's Michael Katsidis again after his impressive third round victory at the weekend.

Heavy-handed Katsidis snapped a two-fight losing streak on Friday night with a KO win against Michael Lodza.

It took place in Queensland, and was Katsidis' first fight on home soil for five years.

But Mitchell will be hoping to tempt Katsidis back out from down under, and nail down a rematch of their meeting last May.

Then Katsidis won a WBO lightweight title fight in three one-sided rounds.

Immediately afterwards, Mitchell admitted to being under-prepared, and spent 15 months out of the ring getting his life - and career - back on track.

The hard work paid off when he returned with a career best win against John Murray in July.

All the talk before that fight had been of the winner facing WBA champion Brandon Rios.

But while Mitchell didn't rule out a fight against the young American prospect, he made it clear that Katsidis was top of his hit list.

Having beaten both Mitchell and Graham Earl in the UK, Katsidis would probably be keen to travel to England once more if promoter Frank Warren offered him the right money.

And Mitchell must fancy his chances of winning after refocusing his energies ahead of the Murray fight.

He'll also be boosted by the fact Katsidis has had two tough fights since beating him - losing in the ninth round to Juan Manuel Marquez, and dropping a one-sided points decision to Robert Guerrero in April.
