Patrick and Micki Nielsen will both be in action on November 5 on the undercard of the WBO Super-Middleweight Title clash between Mikkel Kessler and defending champion Robert Stieglitz. They will take on opponents to be announced.

“I look forward to fighting at a packed PARKEN Stadium again,” Patrick Nielsen said. “It is going to be a hell of a night with two more victories for the Nielsen family.”

While 18-year-old cruiserweight Micki (1-0, 1 KO) just celebrated a successful professional debut with a first-round KO in Herning,  20-year-old Patrick (11-0, 6 KOs) will already be making his second fight at PARKEN. On June 4, he stopped Joe Rea in the third round. After dominating Farouk Daku in a shut-out points victory on September 3, he proved his talent outside the ring on the dance floor, participating in TV2´s popular “Vild med dans” program. “Both in boxing and in dancing you need a lot of training to make it look easy,” Nielsen stated. “I guess I will always be more talented in the ring but all the dancing has been a lot of fun. I hope to go a long way in Vild med dans.”

Promoter Nisse Sauerland has been impressed by Nielsen´s skills. “I think Patrick has done very well – in the ring and on the dance floor. I still find it hard to compare the two sports, but there is a great quote from American humorist Jack Handey. He said that ‘boxing is like a ballet, except there's no music, no choreography, and the dancers hit each other.’ I guess there is some truth to it because on November 5, Patrick will turn from gentleman to beast and destroy his opponent in the ring.”

Tickets for the fight night on November 5 start at 350 DKK (+fee.) and can be purchased at www.billetlugen.dk.
