O2 Arena in London - Josh Kennedy (4-0-0, 4KOs) extends his undefeated record with a six round points win over Elemir Rafael (33-100-4, 8KOs).

Super bantamweight Kennedy - from Folkestone, Kent - demonstrated some impressive hand speed from a low guard but was unable to force a stoppage for the first time in his professional career.

‘Handsome’ Kennedy threatened bring an early end to proceedings in the third but the bell rescued the fighter from Komarno, before the Englishman again had his opponent on unsteady legs in the sixth.

Kennedy, 24, however, had to settle for a distance win and will be hoping to build on his performance on March 19 on a Goodwin Promotions bill at the York Hall, Bethnal Green.

Luton’s Kay Prospere (6-0-0, 4KOs) makes it three knockout wins on the spin with a first round stoppage of Lee Connelly (4-16-1, 0KOs).

Prospere, 31, was a respected amateur, and used his superior footwork and punch variety to stagger Connelly mid way through the first round before sending him to the canvas with a series of unanswered shots.

The super lightweight - nicknamed ‘Special K’ - was then able to pin his Derbyshire-based opponent in the corner and sent him down for a second time, prompting the referee to call a halt to proceedings.

Prospere is due to face Danny Carter (6-2-0, 1KO) for the Southern Area super lightweight title on March 19 at the York Hall, Bethnal Green.

Liverpool’s Tony Dodson (38-8-1, 15KOs) beats Richard Horton (9-5-0, 1KO) on points over 8 rounds in light heavyweight contest.

The experienced Dodson - who has shared the ring with the likes of Paul Smith and Ovill McKenzie - was pushed hard by his Harlow-based opponent in his first bout in eight months.

After an even start, ‘The Warrior’ began to beat his opponent to the punch and drew blood with a sharp straight right before flooring Horton with two further right hands late in the second round.

Dodson, 35, was cut under his left eye in the third which looked to have encouraged Horton to press the pace, but the quality work continued to come from the former British super middleweight title challenger.

To his credit, Horton continued to show plenty of ambition but was often caught clean due to a low left hand, and was unable to consistently close the distance.

Dodson seemed to hurt Horton again in the sixth and won out deservedly on points.

Promising Cruiserweight prospect Jose Lopes (5-0-0, 2KOs) extends his unbeaten record with an impressive first round knockout of Darren Snow (1-1-1, 0KOs).

The Stratford-based 25-year-old sent Snow to the canvas with a well timed left hand to the top of the head in the first telling exchange, and the Yorkshireman was unable to beat the count.

The Angola-born boxer now moves on to three stoppages in the paid ranks.

Wadi Camacho (13-5-0, 8KOs) tunes up for his upcoming Southern Area title bout with a comfortable six round points win over Jindrich Velecky (19-39-0, 18KOs).

Cruiserweight Camacho - a former Prizefighter champion - was able to tee off at will from the opening bell and pushed Velecky onto the ropes late in the second round.

Czech Velecky started to tire when the 'Macho Man' landed a succession of accurate body shots and was then staggered with an cute uppercut in the fifth.

The 'Macho Man' hurt his opponent again in the last round but had to settle for a 60-54 distance victory.

Canning Town-based Camacho is due to challenge Dan Woodgate (13-2-0, 2KOs) for his area title on February 27 at the York Hall, Bethnal Green.
