Eighteen years into his professional career and nine years removed from his career defining win over "Iron" Mike Tyson, Danny Williams (44-17, 33 KOs), has finally done what he had been asked so many times asked to do. Williams, now a shot and very faded 39-year old fighter, just a shade of his former self, called it quits and promised to hang'em up following his seventh consecutive loss - this time to the American fighter Kelvin Price (14-1, 6 KOs). Price, 37, who was blitzed by Deontay Wilder in his most recent ring appearance, won almost every round of a ten scheduled and cruised to a unanimous decision at Yunost sports arena in Klimovsk, Russia.

Four Russian fighters constituted the undercard of the show. Bantamweight Sahib Usarov (19-0, 6 KOs), competing at a higher weight class, tried hard but was forced to go the distance versus the Kazakh import Zhandos Zhetpisbaev (5-6, 2 KOs), winning an eight-round decision.

Fedor Chudinov, the brother of Dmitry Chudinov, who stopped Grady Brewer yesterday, followed in his brother's foorsteps by knocking out Cuban veteran Julio Acosta (5-2, 3 KOs) at 1:39 of the third round.

Local lightweight Roman Andreev (14-0, 11 KOs) punished his Nicaraguan opponent Miguel Aguilar (11-7, 5 KOs) brutally for punching below the beltline by dropping him twice up until the stoppage was issued at 2:24 of the third by Alexander Kalinkin.

Finally, in a thriller bantamweight Nikolay Potapov improved his record to 10-0, 6 KOs) by winning a spirited decision over ten against the Dominican import Abigail Maedina (9-2-2, 5 KOs). Median clearly dropped the first seven rounds but rallied vehemently in the closing stages of the fight. It wasn't enough though.
