BoxingScene.com has been advised by boxing manager Steven Feder that his client Lateef "Power" Kayode (16-0) will return to the ring on June 10th at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California.  The Nigerian cruiserweight prospect will face former title challenger Matt Godfrey (20-2) in the main event that will be broadcast on SHOBOX.

Kayode last appeared in the ring in February when he won an unanimous decision over Nicholas Iannuzzi.  Prior to the Iannuzzi fight Kaoyode had won 14 straight fights via knockout.  Godfrey's previous fight occurred last August when he was stopped in the 5th round in Germany.  Godfrey was attempting to wrestle the WBO cruiserweight title away from Marco Huck.

Feder told BoxingScene that Kayode just started sparring with heavyweight contender Chris Arreola as he begins to train for Godfrey.

"We sparred with Chris Arreola today and we will be working in Riverside (California) with Chris over the next two weeks as we start preparing for our fight and help Chris get ready for his (versus Nagy Aguilera on May 14th).  Facing a heavyweight puncher will be work for Lateef as he works on pressure fighting."
