Belfast boxer Brian Magee's WBA super middleweight title fight against Karoly Balzsay (25-2, 18KOs) will go to purse bids. The promoters of the two camps have been unable to agree terms ahead of the contest. The fight is set to take place in Belfast or Denmark before the end of July, with Balzsay having been ordered to make a mandatory defence.

The Hungarian world champion is based in Germany and fights out of Hamburg. The confirmation of Magee's opponent followed Balzsay's win over Kazakhstan-born Dimitri Sartison last month. Magee (36-4-1, 25KOs), 36, was in Germany to watch the victory for the WBA's current regular champion. The WBA has Andre Ward as their super champion because he also holds the main WBC belt.
