Hungarian website monokli.com writes that former two time super middleweight world champion Károly Balzsay (25-2) has been diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. He's currently under treatment in Budapest. Despite the bad news he's quite optimistic and said: "I didn't choose this opponent, but I will beat it!" Balzsay retired two years ago. He defended his WBA "regular" world title for the last fight against Dimitri Sartison and is currently working as a coach in amateur boxing.
