European lightweight title challenger Karim El Ouazghari has warned John Murray he'll be a nearly man - because of his surname.

The Spanish hardman takes on one of Britain's finest prospects on April 2 at the York Hall, Bethnal Green, live on Sky Sports 1HD.

He is confident of springing an upset and bringing to an end Murray's 30-fight unbeaten record - the longest in British boxing.

And he has been given a boost by compatriot Rafael Nadal's superiority over another Murray, Andy.

The world number one defeated Murray at last year's Wimbledon, and also dumped him out of the end of season Masters at the O2 Arena in London.

"Rafa is a hero of mine and the people of Spain and he had two big wins against a Murray on English soil, and I will do the same against John," said Ouazghari

"When I found out I was fighting a guy called Murray I knew I would win because everyone knows in Spain that Murrays are all weak.

"He will choke against me just like Andy choked against Nadal.

"I will put him under pressure from the first bell until the last bell, if it goes that long.

"He will feel like he is suffocating because he won't know where the punches are coming from.

"I'll take him into deep waters and then knock him out late in the fight, just like Rafa delivered his knockout blows against Andy Murray.

"All I hear is that Murray is the next big thing and he's this and he's that, believe me I will punish him and knock him out."
