On June 30th, Cornelius "K9" Bundrage will defend his IBF junior middleweight title against his mandatory challenger, Cory Spinks.  The two fighters originally met in August of 2010. Bundrage dominated the fight winning via fifth round knockout. The rematch of will be televised by Showtime.

On the latest edition of The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene.com's official audio show, Bundrage told us that Spinks was full of excuses after the first fight and says that the rematch will produce a different result. K9 expects the rematch to look a lot like the first fight.

"Cory Spinks is going to use all the excuses in the world like he had cramps and this and that. Women get cramps at the end of the month," Bundrage told The Boxing Lab.

"He can say whatever he wants to say. He had three training camps to get ready for that fight.  It was postponed so many times. Excuses are like butt holes, everyone has one," he continued.

Top contender Erislandy Lara has been campaigning for big fights over the past year. Bundrage is one of the names on the Cuban's hit list.  One of our listener's asked K9 if he would be interested in a fight against Lara and he responded by saying that he is looking for the biggest possible fights.

"Lara is no threat. I don't mind taking him out. He's a good fighter but I would take him out and I feel like I've done so much for boxing on the Contender and everything else. If Lara wants to fight me tell him to go get a belt and then we'll talk," Bundrage said.

Bundrage himself has been looking for big fights and the two names at the top of his list are Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Miguel Cotto. He did however say that he would fight Lara if the money made sense and the fans wanted the fight.

"I have been hearing a lot of news of me fighting bigger (name) fighters. I would rather fight the Cotto's and Canelo's.  But if the fight is what the fans want and the funds are right then we can do it."
