Juan Manuel Marquez (53-6-1, 39KOs) is planning to be very fast for Saturday's fight against Ukrainian Sergey Fedchenko (30-1, 13KOs). The former three division world champion is not taking any chances with the fight. Marquez will fight in Mexico City for the first time in 18 years.

On Tuesday, in a very hot Romanza Gym, Marquez completed fourteen rounds of exercises. Juan Manuel was giving priority to the hand speed and movement, always guarded by his trainer, Nacho Beristain.

If possible, Marquez wants to come in weighing as low as 138-pounds at Friday's weigh-in for the junior welterweight fight.

"Right now, all I have to do is take care of the weight and my physical condition. On Friday at the official weigh-in, I want to come in about 138 pounds, maybe a half [pound] more or 139.  Right now I'm about 3 pounds up [over the junior welterweight limit]. I feel very strong. I never like to see videos of my opponents, they are for Beristain to analyze. I care more about reaching 100% and giving everything in the ring," Marquez said.
