A bout between unbeaten Jose Ramirez and Johnny Garcia is in play for December 5, Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman told BoxingScene.com.

"The fight has been verbally agreed to," said Goodman.

The eight round bout will headline the Top Rank card and will take place at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. UniMas will telecast the 'Solo Boxeo Tecate' broadcast, which begins airing at 11 p.m. ET/ PT.

Ramirez (15-0, 12 KOs) was scheduled to fight on September 26 in Lemoore, which is a 30-minute drive from his hometown of Avenal. He had to withdraw from the fight when he suffered an injury to his hand during training camp.

The 23-year-old has fought three times before sell-out crowds at Selland Arena in Fresno, where he has developed a solid fan base in and around the area.

In his last bout on July 18, Ramirez, who is trained by Freddie Roach, stopped Ryusei Yoshida after the third round in Macau, China.

Garcia (19-3-1, 11 KOs) is winless in his last three bouts. In his last bout on February 27, Garcia was stopped by Cletus Seldin in the fifth round.

This will be the first pro boxing card to take place at the Save Mart Center.
