As BoxingScene.com reported over the weekend, Colombian contender Breidis Prescott would be the late replacement opponent for Jorge "Maromerito" Páez, on Saturday, March 22, at the Arena Monterrey. The fight has now been finalized.

Prescott (27-5, 20 KOs) vs. Paez (37-4-1 , 22 KOs) will headline a Zanfer Promotions televised card, and the two boxers will battle over ten rounds at welterweight.

The Colombian boxer replaces former four time world champion Erik "El Terrible" Morales, who withdrew this past weekend with a right hand injury.

Prescott's most infamous win came on September 6, 2008, when he traveled over to the UK and knocked out an 18-0 Amir Khan in 54 seconds. He also had tough fights with Miguel Vazquez, Mike Alvarado, Kevin Mitchell, Paul McCloskey and Terrence Crawford.

The fight will be supported by a world championship match between undefeated WBO minimumweight Merlito Sabillo (23-0-1 , 12 KOs) and Monterrey's Francisco "Titanium" Rodriguez (13-2, 9 KOs).
