Jorge Linares (36-3, 23KOs) is focused on gaining yet another world title. Later tonight at the StubHub Center in Carson, California - Linares will stay busy in a lightweight fight against Ira Terry (26-11, 16KOs).

On the same card, Omar Figueroa (23-0-1, 17KOs) will defend his WBC lightweight title against Daniel Estrada (32-2-1, 24KOs).

Linares wants the winner. He beat Nihito Arakawa in March in a WBC eliminator and thought a shot at Figueroa was coming up next, but then the WBC ordered Figueroa to fight Estrada.

"We're both fighting on the card and that's the fight that I'm looking for. Hopefully we both win and that fight happens at the end of the year or early next year. What I'm looking for is to be active and then to get that title shot," Linares told BoxingScene.com.

"I thought [Figueroa] would be the next fight for me, because when I beat Arikawa it was an eliminator. I thought the fight was going to happen and then I see Estrada fighting Figueroa. I don't know what happened."

Figueroa, regardless of the outcome, is likely heading up to 140-pounds. Estrada, who was trained in camp by former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, is a live dog.

"Honestly, Figueroa looked so bad in his last fight [against Jerry Belmontes] and he barely won. And remember Estrada is a good opponent. He can make a big surprise. He trained very well, he could do it. Whoever wins the fight, I want them next," Linares said.
