BoxingScene.com has been advised that the fight between WBA cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones and undefeated challenger Ryan Coyne will still take place on June 25th. The fight will take place at the Family Arena in St. Louis on the undercard of the HBO televised main event between Devon Alexander and Lucas Matthysse.

The Jones versus Coyne had previously been agreed to when the WBA scheduled a purse bid for Jones to face interm champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez. Shortly thereafter Sauerland Event set the same June 25th date for that fight to take place in Europe.

BoxingScene has been advised that the confusion has been sorted out and an agreement has been reached for the Jones-Coyne fight to still go on. As part of the compromise the winner will face Hernandez in August or September.
