Ashton under Lyne’s Jon Kays has been added to the undercard of Jason Booth’s October 22nd British super-bantamweight title defence.  Booth faces undefeated contender Scott Quigg in Bolton with Kays set to take promotional stable mate Brian Rose’s slot on the bill.

It is the 28-year-old’s first outing since losing to Liam Walsh for the Commonwealth super-featherweight strap, the 13-2 (4) fighter proved his mental strength in that one, fighting back from a fourth round knockdown before succumbing in the tenth.  Steve Wood, VIP boss and manager of Kays, has confirmed that ‘2 Smokes’ will be moved from VIP’s October 8th card at the Sports Centre, Oldham to Frank Maloney’s British title bonanza.

Martyn Grainger now headlines on the 8th, local ticket seller Danny Randall also appears on a show that includes pro debuts for Marvin Greaves and Liam Taylor.
