Chicago, IL – Chicago’s top professional boxing promotion, Hitz Boxing, returns to The Venue at The Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana on Saturday night, March 28th for another installment of “Fight Night.” The 10-fight card will be headlined by undefeated Chicago-native, “Hollywood” Mike Jimenez (16-0, 10 KOs).

Jimenez made headlines earlier this week when it was announced that he will be part of boxing history, fighting for the vacant USBA Super Middleweight title against Jesse Hart on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather pay-per-view on May 2nd, live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“March 28th is going to be an exciting night for Chicago-area fight fans,” said Hitz Boxing’s, Bobby Hitz. “Not only is Mike Jimenez looking to make a statement in our main event before he fights on the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather card, but we have an line-up of fighters all hungry to make a name for themselves in the boxing world.”

Two local fighters looking to boost their national profile will face-off in a featured light heavyweight match-up, as the undefeated Sammy Horowitz (2-0, 2 KOs) takes on Simon Buettner (6-1, 3 KOs) in a four-round war.

“The winner of the Horowitz vs. Buettner fight is really going to take a step forward in their career,” added Hitz. “Both guys give it their all every time they fight. This is match-up that will have the fans on their feet from the first round to the final bell.”

Local bragging rights will also be on the line as William Chouloute (2-4, 1 KO) from Chicago fights Minonk, Illinois’ Mike Reid (1-0, 1 KO) in a light heavyweight showdown, and lightweight Joey Hefferle (3-1, 3 KOs) of Carpentersville, Illinois takes on Posen, Illinois’ Carl Currie (0-2).

Also featured on the card is undefeated, Harvey, Illinois lightweight Jose Arambula (8-0, 3 KOs), super featherweight prospect Fidel Navarrete (7-0-2, 4 KOs), super lightweight Romiro Carrillo (6-0, 3 KOs), and welterweight Will Coix (5-0, 5 KOs).

“The sport of boxing is in for a huge 2015, and that includes Hitz Boxing” added Hitz. “The Venue at The Horseshoe provides fans with one of the most fan-friendly environment in sports. There will action in the ring, and out of the ring, with blackjack being dealt on the floor, Hitz Boxing ring card girls, and a spirited crowd. If you’ve never been to a live boxing event, you need to be at this show.”
