World Boxing Council (WBC) featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (51-7, 45 KOs) of Mexico is ready to make the fourth defense of his title against Dominican mandatory challenger Elio Rojas (23-1, 14 KOs ). The bout takes place on April 28th at the new arena at the Hotel Grand Oasis in Cancun. The fight will be broardcast by Televisa Deportes. Promoters Reginaldo Kuchle and Pepe Gomez are staging the fight.

Gonzalez expects a very tough fight from Rojas.

Jhonny said - "I will give the best fight of my life. The fight is complicated because of Elio's style. He is very cunning in the ring, he runs a lot, he has a difficult style, but we are preparing to conquer him and defend our championship at any cost. The Dominican will not prevent the great plans that we have in store for the future. I'm very motivated. I'm prepared to give my best as a fighter. I will once again prove [that I'm one of the best] with a resounding victory on the 28th. In winning, I am positive the big fights will come...I'm sure of that."
