On November 5th, Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach and Dewey Cooper will see the fruits of their labor when their fighters - 8-division champion Manny Pacquiao (58-6-2) and two-divison and current WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas (27-1) - collide

at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout will be broadcast by a yet to be announced pay-per-view distributor.

Roach is a much more well known trainer than Cooper who is a former fighter and an expert at various disciplines of combat sports including boxing and kickboxing.

The up and coming Cooper had immediate success with Vargas as his pupil dropped and stopped the then unbeaten Sadam Ali on March 5th in their first fight working together.  With the victory Vargas captured WBO gold which helped him secure the fight against Pacquiao.

Cooper is well aware of Roach's resume and reputation and said that he has a lot of admiration for the Los Angeles based trainer.  Roach isn't shy around the media and has hurled several verbal vollies at Pacquiao's past opponents and their teams.

Whatever Roach decides to do or say during this promotion, Cooper said that he won't be fazed because the only match up that is important is the one on November 5th between Pacquiao and Vargas.

"The only match that has me mentally occupied is Manny Pacquiao versus Jessie Vargas. I have no match up with anyone. I am secure and positive about my abilities. That is all that matters to me," Cooper told BoxingScene.com.

"As for Freddie Roach, he has Parkinson's. I know guys who are fully capable doing 10 times less than what he is doing so to me Freddie Roach is a hero and I respect him.  My girlfriend works as a speech pathologist and she has a lot of patients that have Parkinson's that can't even eat with a spoon and a fork. He is training Manny Pacquiao. I have nothing malicious to say about Freddie. If he says something about me - that is on him.  I am focused on Jessie Vargas and am focusing on us being victorious on that that night and what anyone says about me, it is not about that. At the end of the day if you can't whip my ass your opinion doesn't matter to me anyway. We are going to focus on Manny Pacquiao and Jessie Vargas fighting and nothing else matters to me."
