Las Vegas - Jesse Garcia, a star amateur featherweight fighter from Houston, has signed with Top Rank.  Todd duBoef, president of Top Rank, made the announcement today.

Garcia, 20, is a six-time Houston Regional Golden Gloves Champion and a two-time Texas Golden Gloves Champion. He was a 2012 Texas Jr Olympic gold medalist and a 2014 Houston Open Ring National Gold Medalist. Garcia has an amateur record of 70-7 with 45 KOs and is ranked #5 in the United States.  He is managed by Cameron Dunkin and trained by Rudy Silva.

Garcia trains at the Elite Boxing Academy in Houston. He began boxing at the age of 12 and said his favorite fighters are Mike Tyson, Arturo Gatti and Gennady Golovkin. Garcia said his style is… "similar to Mike Tyson but in a smaller weight class."

His pro debut will be announced, duBoef said.
