According to former three division world champion James Toney (73-6-3, 44KOs), the November 4th showdown with Denis Lebedev (22-1, 17KOs) will have the WBA's interim-cruiserweight title up for grabs. The fight takes place at the Khodynka Ice Palace, Moscow, Russia. The interim-title of the WBA recently became vacant. A few weeks ago, Yoan Pablo Hernandez vacated the title prior to his controversial win over Steve Cunningham for the IBF's version of the belt.

"I am totally ready for this fight. I can go fight right now. With my defense, he can't even get to me. The fight will be short, so do not be late. I advise those who are sitting at at ringside not wear white clothes, because there will be a lot of blood. Lebedev is nothing to me, and neither is Kostya Tszyu, who trains him. Tszyu recently was inducted as a Hall of Fame boxer, but he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame, he should be in the hall of shame. Regarding the fight, it's going to be for interim-world title of the WBA. I know the guy who owns the full title [Guillermo Jones] and he won't agree to fight me, so the WBA should just declare me as champion," Toney said.
