Sources out of Minnesota have advised BoxingScene.com that Daniel Jacobs (28-1, 25KOs) will defend his WBA 'regular' middleweight title against Caleb Truax (25-1-2, 15KOs) on April 11th, as part of the NBC televised event from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The 'Premier Boxing Champions' card is headlined by catch-weight battle of junior welterweight champions with Danny Garcia facing Lamont Peterson. The co-feature will have Peter Quillin challenging Andy Lee for the IBF middleweight title.

Jacobs has been out of the ring since his title winning effort over Jarrod Fletcher from last August, which also took place at the Barclays Center. Truax is 7-0-1, since suffering his only career defeat, a decision loss to Jermain Taylor, who went down in the ninth round of that fight.

Should Jacobs and Quillin both win, it could set up a hometown unification in the near future.

Other fighters who are scheduled to see action on that card include light heavyweight prospect Marcus Browne (13-0, 10KOs), welterweight contender Gabriel Bracero (23-1, 4KOs) and popular local ticket seller Heather Hardy (12-0, 2KOs).
