Former champion Israel "Magnífico" Vazquez (44-5, 32KOs) is considering a return to the ring in April or May of this year.  Vazquez has not fought since last May's three round knockout loss to Rafarl Marquez in what was their fourth contest. The two boxers are tied with a 2-2 tally between the four fights. Vazquez would like a fifth fight to break the tie but he's not going to sit around and wait for it to happen.

"If I go back. I want the fifth fight with Rafael Marquez. I am determined. I will take the final stretch in boxing and I think we can be ready in April or May. "I feel physically fine and I know I can still give a lot to boxing. I think it's feasible [a fifth fight with Marquez], but if not, we'll see who I can fight," Vazquez told Charles Winter. I will return with all of the enthusiasm in the world. I hope I can encourage Rafa to do a fifth fight, because I didn't like how I lost the last battle."
