Eye of the Tiger announced the signing of a multi-year promotional agreement with Russian-born Olympian Imam Khataev (3-0, 3 KOs). Having transitioned to the professional ranks in 2021 after a successful amateur career, Khataev shares the ambitious goals of the Montreal-based organization, aiming to propel the career of their new protégé to new heights.

With 15 years of boxing experience and a track record of significant victories in international tournaments, light heavyweight Khataev has participated in nearly 300 amateur bouts. He notably competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he secured a bronze medal, as well as in the 2023 World Championship, earning another bronze. In January 2023, he further distinguished himself by winning the gold medal at the Golden Belt Series tournament, where he faced the double Cuban Olympian and amateur world champion, Arlen Lopez Cardona.

"I’m particularly pleased to add Imam to the roster. He’s a real beast! Very talented powerful and the consummate pro in being super serious and disciplined. His upside is absolutely huge and is very charismatic. The sky is the limit," says Camille Estephan, President of EOTTM.

Possessing exceptional power and a particularly offensive style, the 28-year-old athlete now residing in Australia is sure to captivate boxing enthusiasts in Quebec.

"I would like to thank Camille and the entire EOTTM team for allowing me to be part of the family. I'm excited to showcase my boxing talents to the great fans of Montreal. The beast is coming soon!" mentions Khataev.
