Lightweight contender Hylon Williams Jr. (15-0, 3KOs) returned last week to win a six round decision over Andre barker in Greensboro, North Carlolina. He returns on February 3rd in Las Vegas, facing unbeaten Rances Barthelemy (14-0, 11KOs).

BoxingScene.com: How is it going Hylon?

Its going good. Just fought last Friday won a unanimous decision went some rounds and pleased with my performance. Now we look to better and bigger things which is February 4 on ESPN2.

BoxingScene.com: Who will you be fighting?

I'm fighting an undefeated cuban kid named Rances Barthlemey. He's 14-0, I'm 15-0, so its definitely a good fight and I will show the world my skills. Its my breaking out party.

BoxingScene.com: Tell us about your amateur backround and what you achieved?

I was a 2008 Olympic Alternate. I was robbed against Rynall Williams who I beat earlier in the tournament. My amateur record was 145-20.

I'm a 2 time Golden gloves champ, 6- time junior olympic champ, 3-time games of Texas champ, 3-time silver gloves champ, 2-time nationals champ, 06' PAL champ, 06' World cup gold medal, 07' national golden gloves champ, etc.

BoxingScene.com: You were going great fighting 12 times in a 24 month span then went out for about a year. Can you tell us what happened?

I had a falling out with my old manager. Wasn't to happy with the team I had and took some time off. I've been fighting since I was 7 years old so I guess I needed a break. But now I'm back I've fought 3 times since coming back earlier this year. I now have the best manager in the business bar none Luis Decubas Jr and he's moving me along perfect. This will be my second fight on ESPN2 and with an opportunity to beat a undefeated fighter. I love it and I will not let him down.

BoxingScene.com: How has the change helped you ?

I've definitely matured a lot. When you have a manager on call 24/7 who's like a big brother its a great feeling. I can talk to him about anything and everything. I'm in a good camp with Ramon Garbey and Ismael Salas working on the boxing and DJ doing the conditioning. He also worked with Rigondeaux, Casamayor, Trinidad, etc. I got the right team surrounding me. Also, Alex Bornote who is my co-manager has been great.

BoxingScene.com: How do you see your fight with Barthlemey playing out?

Mayweather vs Corrales. Laughs. Watch the tape then watch Februayr 4. I'm gonna take him to school. I'm not like these other prospects coming up I wanna fight the best. Imagine Broner or Russell fighting an undefeated Cuban with only 15 pro fights. Never!

BoxingScene.com: What do you think of Adrien Broner and Gary Russell?

I know Adrien good, he's a friend of mine we came up through the amateur system together. I never got to fight him cause he'd be eliminated before getting to the finals. He's having a good career but fighting hand-picked guys. I love to fight him after I go through Barthlemey.

Russell is better polished of the two but I see lots of flaws in his game. He gets hit a lot. He's another guy we'd like to fight soon. He also has had hand-picked guys.

My skills against anyone at 130lbs I'm betting the house. Period. Its not cocky, its confident.

BoxingScene.com: You sound very confident, that's good I know your manager is very high on you. Anything in closing?

I wanna thank Luis Decubas Jr for believing in me when everyone gave me their back. Wanna thank Mr. Bornote, my father, Garbey, and my whole team for believing in me. The whole world will know who is Hylon "Kid Cosmo" Williams Jr is on Feb.4 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas! Its the best hotel in the world and I'm pleased to fight there for the third time. Shout out to H-town, Texas and all my fans. Thank you.
