WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto (54-7-2, 32 KOs) has begin training in Tijuana, Mexico, with an eye on his next defense. Soto will have a rematch with American Urbano Antillon (28-2, 20KOs) on the May 7 Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Last year they battled to a very exciting twelve round finish. Soto won with very close scores of 115-112, 114-113 and 114-113. Antillon lost a very important point in the fifth round. Had it not been for the point deduction, the fight would have been a majority draw.

This time Soto promised a very clear victory to leave no type of doubt in the ring. He won't allow Antillon to make the fight as close as the first encounter. When Soto entered the Tijuana gym to start, he was with his coach Bobby Quirarte. He trained very hard with a number of exercises and even sparred for three rounds with Tijuana featherweight prospect Omar Estrella.
