Promoter Barry Hearn is still bitter with Paul McCloskey's technical decision loss to WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Amir Khan. Khan won a six round decision over McCloskey in April. The fight was stopped early due to a cut suffered by McCloskey from an accidental clash of heads.

Hearn and McCloskey were very angry with the fight being stopped, because McCloskey's had planned to up his pace in the second half of the fight.

McCloskey recently decisioned Breidis Prescott in a WBA final eliminator. The next stop for the Irish boxer is WBA "regular" junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana.

Hearn is not shy with his opinions, labeling Khan as a "fraud" and stating that McCloskey will destroy him in a rematch.

"[Amir Khan], I think you're a fraud. Frankly, just a fraud. Now we go on and we're looking at the Maidana for the WBA title, for Paul. And who knows one day in the future, we'll get a chance to have a proper fight [with Khan], on fair terms and fair officials - and the next time we destroy Amir Khan," Hearn told Hayters.
