As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Kevin Mitchell will face Mexican Daniel Estrada for the WBC 'silver' lightweight title in London on January 31.

The pair will face off at The O2 in what will be Mitchell's first fight since he stopped Ghislain Maduma on the undercard of Carl Froch v George Groves at Wembley in May.

Meanwhile, Estrada is returning after losing a world-title challenge to Omar Figueroa.

Promoter Eddie Hearn said: "Mitchell v Estrada is a great fight.

"I was ringside in Carson when he took on Figueroa for the WBC title and he put up a great fight.

"We have applied to the WBC to make this fight a final eliminator for the WBC title with the winner to face the winner of Jorge Linares v Javier Prieto and we will be pushing the request at the upcoming convention - I expect it to be successful."

On the same bill, rising heavyweight star Anthony Joshua takes on former world-title challenger Kevin Johnson.

The action will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports.
