Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is looking to book a big fight for Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13 KOs) on September 12th at the O2 Arena in London.

Last week, BoxingScene.com reported that former world title challenger Mariusz Wach (31-1, 17 KOs) was being considered for the slot. Wach's promoter had claimed to have an agreement in place for the contest.

Hearn reveals that Wach is indeed one of the fighters being considered, but a deal has yet to be reached.

We have a big fight planned for Anthony on September 12. Mariusz Wach is in the hat. It's definitely not a done deal. It has its pros and its cons. The pros are he's a tough guy and it'd be a good learning fight. The cons are not a lot of people know who Wach is outside of hardcore boxing fans," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"Anthony is going to have everyone calling him out because he's the hot ticket. Sometimes he'll see it and he'll phone me up and say: 'Get me them now!' But it's a case of speaking to his training team and moving at the right pace.

"Everyone that's calling him out will get a shot at him eventually – whether it's Whyte, David Haye, Tyson Fury or David Price. It's just a case of when."
