Demetrius Andrade’s victory over Alantez Fox was the most-watched of the three boxing matches HBO televised Saturday night.

According to ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research, the Andrade-Fox fight drew a peak audience of 685,000. An average of 613,000 viewers watched Andrade out-box Fox during a 12-round middleweight match that aired from Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.

His convincing victory marked the beginning of Andrade’s three-fight contract to fight exclusively on HBO. The bout between Andrade (25-0, 16 KOs), a two-time 154-pound champion from Providence, Rhode Island, and Fox (23-1-1, 11 KOs), of Forestville, Maryland, started just after 11:10 p.m. ET/8:10 p.m. PT.

The Andrade-Fox fight was the second of three bouts HBO broadcast Saturday night.

The main event from Turning Stone, Alberto Machado’s eighth-round knockout of former WBA world super featherweight champion Jezreel Corrales, attracted a peak audience of 595,000 viewers and averaged 545,000. That bout began a little after 12:10 a.m. ET/9:10 p.m. PT.

Puerto Rico’s Machado (19-0, 16 KOs) came back from a fifth-round knockdown to floor Corrales (22-2, 8 KOs, 1 NC) in the eighth round. Panama’s Corrales couldn’t recover and referee Mark Nelson stopped their scheduled 12-rounder at 2:18 of the eighth round.

Machado won the WBA 130-pound championship Corrales vacated Friday by weighing in at four pounds over the super featherweight limit for their title fight.

The bout that opened HBO’s broadcast at 10:05 p.m. ET/7:05 p.m. PT on Saturday night, taped coverage of Ryan Burnett’s 12-round, unanimous-decision win against Zhanat Zhakiyanov, was watched by an average of 576,000 viewers and peaked at 618,000.

Northern Ireland’s Burnett (18-0, 9 KOs) beat Kazakhstan’s Zhakiyanov (27-2, 18 KOs) by big margins on all three scorecards to retain his IBF bantamweight title and win the WBA 118-pound championship from Zhakiyanov at SSE Arena in Belfast.
