Super bantamweight Hanzel Martinez was scheduled to face Prosper Ankrah on Friday night at the Casino Del Sol in Tuscon, Arizona as the headliner on CBS Sports Network. But on Wednesday night after his last day of training he was involved in a serious car accident in Tijuana, Mexico, forcing a cancellation of this bout.

According to Guy Taylor of Roy Jones Jr. Boxing, Martinez(23-2/18 KO's) suffered a concussion along with injuries to his back and neck.

"Roy Jones Jr. Boxing wishes our fighter, Hanzel, a healthy and speedy recovery. Hanzel is very disappointed that after a nine week camp he can't perform. Our main concern is Hanzel's safety and well being. We can't wait to get Hanzel back in the ring and what he loves to do most,"said Taylor on behalf of the company.

The show will proceed with Emmanuel Robles facing Pipino

Cuevas Jr and Keenan Carbajal against Lorenzo Trejo in eight rounders.
