Hank Lundy and Angelo Santana watched their careers go in opposite directions during their lightweight bout Friday evening in Cleveland, Ohio. The 10-round main event, which aired live on Showtime, saw Lundy cruise to a unanimous decision.

The bout was Santana's first since a knockout loss to Bahodir Mamadjonov last April, which also aired on Showtime's ShoBox series. Friday's contest marked his third straight appearance on Shobox, although most likely his last.

Lundy, meanwhile, is enjoying a much-needed career revival. Having dropped two straight, the Philly native bounced back with a big win over Olusegun Ajose last summer in the 140 lb. division. Dropping back down to the 135 lb. division, Lundy looked sharp throughout Friday's affair, offering the same sustained attack over the course of 10 rounds, while Santana fought only in spots while spending the rest of the fight keeping his distance and fighting like a fighter looking to avoid getting knocked out again.

The respective styles were accurately reflected on the scorecards. All three judges had the bout 98-91 in favor of Lundy, who improves to 24-3-1 (11KO).

Santana suffers his second straight loss, falling to 14-2 (11KO).

UNDERCARD

Amir Imam submitted his entry for 2014 Knockout of the Year, drilling Jared Robinson in the fourth round of their televised co-feature.

A right hand put Robinson through the ropes and out of the ring, forcing the 31-year old to peel himself off of the floor, crawl up the stairs and back into the ring in his best effort to continue. The referee felt otherwise, however, deciding that the South Carolina native was in no position to continue.

It was an impressive showing by Imam, whose only anxious moments came early in the fight. Robinson, nicknamed 'The Quiet Storm', came out like a hurricane, going right on the attack as he tried to catch Imam off the guard. The strategy was effective for brief moments, but Imam quickly took over and remained in control.

The fight was competitiv but remained in one direction up to and including the highlight reel knockout. The official time was 1:59 of round four.

Imam improves to 13-0 (12KO) with the win. The Albany (NY) native has scored knockouts in 12 straight wins; his lone bout to go the distance came in his pro debut, having never fought longer than four rounds in any of his pro fights to date.

Robinson suffers the first loss of his career, falling to 14-1 (6KO).

Both bouts were presented by Don King Productions.
