Hamburg-based Romanian heavyweight Christian Hammer (18-4) returned home to Galati last night and headlined EC Boxing´s show with a clear win on points after ten rounds of boxing over still capable veteran Sherman “Tank” Williams (37-15-2).

Williams had his moments but could never keep it up and often had to smother his younger and fresher opponent with the referee too slow in breaking them up. Hammer worked steadily with his jab and bodypunches and took over the fight in the later rounds.

In the co-feature, Swedish heavyweight Adrian Granat (8-0) stopped Konstantin Airich (29-15-2) in the third. Granat had Airich hurt in the third and the towel came in. This was Adrian´s best win to date and he may now join Wladimir Klitschko´s team of sparringpartners. Airich accepted the fight earlier in the week and continued a downhill trend.

Cruiserweight Senad Gashi (10-0) stopped Marko Angermann (11-27-1) in two and there were no surprises in this fight. Angermann is on a long losing streak and it wasn´t going to change in this fight against a bigger, stronger, faster, younger opponent.
