The last fight card of 2013 in Southern California figures to be big. Not with big name fighters, but the amount of fights on the card.

All Star Boxing Promotions will present a scheduled 12-fight card tonight at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, CA.

The main event will feature the classic prospect versus seasoned veteran as unbeaten Hamilton Ventura fights Galen Brown in a scheduled eight round bout.

The Brazilian-born Ventura (12-0-1, 10 KOs) has won his last four bouts in a row since fighting to a six round split decision draw against Mitch Williams in May. It was his United States debut that night.

Ventura’s power will be measured against Brown, who has fought a who’s who of contenders and prospects between super middleweights and heavyweights.

A native of Saint Joseph, MO, Brown (41-24-1, 24 KOs) has lost his last two bouts in a row after winning three in a row.

In an intriguing bout featuring young unbeaten heavyweights, Charles Martin will fight Glendy Hernandez in a scheduled six round bout.

Martin (12-0-1, 10 KOs) has won his last six bouts in a row since a four round majority decision draw against Alvaro Morales on March 30th. Saturday night will mark the 11th time he has fought in 2013.

Originally from St. Louis, MO and now residing in Carson, CA, Martin stopped Joey Dawejko after the fourth round in his last bout on November 14th.

The Cuban-born Hernandez (10-0, 6 KOs) was not nearly as active as Martin, fighting only once this year. In that bout on April 13th, Hernandez stopped Dieuly Aristilde in the eighth round. Ironically, Martin stopped Aristilde in the first round on October 25th.

Other notable fighters on the card are junior middleweight Said El Harrak (11-2-1, 6 KOs) and cruiserweight Deon Elam. El Harrak will fight Bernardo Guereca (17-20-1, 4 KOs) and Elam (12-1, 6 KOs) will fight Gionvanni Serran (4-6, 1 KO) in scheduled six round bouts.

Eight more fights featuring local talent in Southern California will also be on the card.

Tickets are on sale and could be purchased as low as $50. Tickets could be purchased at (323) 816-6200 or (323) 781-4871.

Doors open at 5PM, with first bell scheduled for 5:15PM local time.

The Westin Bonaventura Hotel is located at 404 South Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles.
