Oscar Ahlin (9-0, 8 KOs) will make his long awaited return to the ring on September 20 at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London. ‘’The Golden Boy’’ is the latest addition to the undercard for British super middleweight star George Groves’ WBC final eliminator against European Champion Christopher Rebrasse.

Ahlin has been sidelined for just under a year with a hand injury sustained in his last fight, a points victory over Serhiy Demchenko in October 2013, but now fully recovered, the 24 year-old is relishing a return on such a big stage.

‘’I’ve had a long time off so it feels really good to be back,’’ said the hard-hitting Swede. ‘’To be a part of such a big event gives me even more motivation. I want to look good in the ring and show everyone what I can do.

‘’My hand’s fully recovered and I'm ready to pick up where I left off. In my last two fights I had minor injuries but decided to fight anyway. That’s not going to happen again, this sport is too important to me. I will never go into a fight again when I’m not 100%.

‘’My training has been going really well. Even with the injury I was able to do a lot of work on my strength and conditioning and from June I was able to resume full boxing training. I’m in great shape and I've just arrived in Miami where I will complete the final stages of my preparations for September 20.’’
