Earlier today it was announced by the IBF that their featherweight titlist Lee Selby must defend his belt against Eric Hunter.

The slick challenger from Philadelphia recently signed with a new promoter.

"Eric Hunter is under exclusive promotional contract to Greg Cohen Promotions,"Greg Cohen stated to BoxingScene.com on Monday afternoon.

"We were officially contacted today by the IBF to commence negotiations with the Selby side as Eric's been named the mandatory."

Cohen said he inked Hunter,''within the last month."

There's a chance that Hunter might have to travel and face Selby in England. Cohen says,"I'm not sure where the fight will take place. Obviously, it has to make sense for both sides and hopefully we can negotiate a deal everyone is comfortable with and if we cant, that's why they have purse bids."

In his last fight out, Selby (22-1, 8KOs) made his United States debut in Arizona and claimed a twelve round unanimous decision over former three division world champion Fernando Montiel in October. Hunter (21-3, 11KOs) had a first round knockout of Antonio Escalante last May.
