WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios has been training hard in Mexico getting ready for his December 3 title defense versus Britain's John Murray at Madison Square Garden. The fight takes place on the televised HBO pay-per-view undercard of the highly anticipated grudge rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito.

Rios has been getting exposure on HBO's 24/7 series that chronicles the fighter's training camps leading up to their showdown, as he and Margarito are both trained by Robert Garcia.

In an appearance on The Boxing Lab, Boxingscene.com's official audio show, Garcia said that Rios has been training hard and is in tremendous shape.  He thinks his fighter will be too strong for Murray and that the fight doesn’t see the final bell.

"Brandon was with us in Mexico. He is in Oxnard (California) now getting his medical stuff done.  He is in great shape. Murray is a great fighter but Brandon is a tough guy and he can take a punch. He (Rios) could end it early. I see that happening," said Garcia.
