Former two-time super middleweight champion Carl Froch (28-2, 20KOs) is still looking to return on May 5th in Nottingham, which is going to be a big homecoming after suffering a twelve round decision loss to Andre Ward in December. One opponent who is being pondered for Froch's return is Librado Andrade (30-4, 23KOs).

If the fight takes place, Froch mentions the possibility of the bout becoming an IBF eliminator - and that would place the winner in line for a clash with titleholder Lucian Bute. There have been talks for a Bute-Froch clash for April 14th, but Showtime is more interested in having Bute face someone like Andre Dirrell or Andre Ward.

"Yes, he's certainly game and that's what we want. He got screwed in the first Bute fight. A fighter cannot be saved by the bell and Bute was in no state to continue once he arose, regardless of whether or not the final bell went. The rematch didn't go well for him, he got caught which happens. But it will be a nice measuring stick if it is him that comes over," Froch told livefight.com.

"It would be an IBF eliminator possibly. From that angle, if I put him away big style it would send a statement out. I've already knocked out Magee before Bute and Librado will be another one. Then if I'm the top challenger Bute won't have anywhere to hide."
