Carl Froch will be the heavier fighter for tonight's Super Six World Boxing Classic semi-final with Glen Johnson.

British star Froch, whose WBC title is also on the line in the super-middleweight clash, weighed in at 167.5lbs in Atlantic City on Friday night.

Jamaican Johnson, who has often fought at light-heavyweight in the past, somewhat surprisingly weighed in 1lb lighter.

The super-middleweight limit is 168lbs, or 12st.

Froch told BBC Sport: "Johnson came in a little bit light, about 2lbs under.

"On Thursday I saw him jogging on the beach with his tracksuit on in the midday sun so maybe he has over-done it and taken a bit too much off."

He added: "I'm feeling good and made the weight fine, the 12 weeks of hard work has paid off."

The winner of the fight in the city's famous Boardwalk Hall will fight Andre Ward in the tournament's final later in the year.
