Featherweight Frency Fortunato notched another win late Friday night, scoring a vicious knockout win over Keine Montenegro at the Coco Locos Restaurant Sports Bar in Sosua, Dominican Republic.

Fortunato, who is originally from nearby Santo Domingo, improves to 15-1, 11 knockouts.

The 25-year-old was sharp from the opening bell, throwing and landing the more-telling punches. Montenegro was game, but would get hit often by hooks or crosses to the head.

About midway through the third round, Fortunato threw a combination to the head, finishing with a left hook to the head that dropped Montenegro flat onto the canvas. Referee Smailyn Valdez immediately stopped the bout at 1:28.

Fortunato previously fought on September 9, as part of a ShoBox telecast, defeating Bernard Torres by split-decision. He has won his last five fights since losing an all-out war, which featured multiple knockdowns between the two fighters, to Alberto Melian in March 2021.
