Former unified junior-middleweight champion Jarrett Hurd will have his first fight of 2024 when he confronts the Florida-based Dominican Jeison Rosario on August 21.

They will headline a show at the ProBox TV Events Center, where both fighters will try to position themselves for a title run.

Hurd is 25-3 (17 KOs) and has lost three of his past five – most recently defeating Tyi Edmonds in December in Pennsylvania. 

The 29-year-old Rosario is 24-4-1 (18 KOs) and has won four of his past five since Erickson Lubin stopped him in six in June 2021.

Accokeek, Maryland’s Hurd is 33-years-old.

Elsewhere on the bill at middleweight, the 11-0 (9 KOs) southpaw Floridian Darrelle Valsaint meets California-based Mexican southpaw Angel Ruiz Astorga, who is 18-3-1 (13 KOs), and the 9-0 (7 KOs) super featherweight Dominic Valle, also from Florida, fights the 9-2 (8 KOs) Kevin Piedrahita Puerta – a Colombian who resides in Las Vegas.
