Undefeated welterweight contender Errol Spence has no problem with heading over to the UK to fight IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook.

Spence (19-0, 16 KOs) is ready to face former WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (21-2, 8KOs) on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Upon beating Algieri, he expects to become the mandatory challenger to Brook's crown. Brook captured his world title in August of 2014 with a twelve round decision over Shawn Porter.

Since winning the title, Brook has been lingering on the bench more than he's fighting with several injuries. He needs a well known opponent for the summer and Spence will fit that image.

"I think I will be the new IBF No 1 challenger once I win this and hopefully I will get a crack at Kell Brook," Spence told Sky Sports. "That's a fight I am looking forward to. I am looking at everyone who holds a world title but I would look forward to a Kell Brook fight if I get that mandatory position."

"I'd go anywhere to fight, it doesn't matter. I've seen Kell fight and he can fight. He's good and it'd be a good fight. He's got a good one-two. I think 147lbs is the best division in boxing. From top to bottom they've got good fighters and we're all young, so we are going to be around for a while."

"Algier is a big name and former world champion but I am not expecting too much from him though. Against any boxer I face, whatever he does we will be ready. I will be ready for anything Chris Algieri brings to the table. I'm going to put on a great performance. Winning is enough but I want to - and will - put one a one-sided performance. I've finally got the headline spot, so it's a great opportunity for me. It doesn't bring any extra pressure onto me, it won't faze me. When the lights turn on I turn on, so I'll to go."
