Ludwigsburg, Germany - Erkan Teper (15-0, 10KOs) knocked out David Price (21-3) with a crushing left hook at 2:15 of the second round to win the vacant EBU heavyweight title. Price went down on his back, his head outside of the neutral corner and referee Massimo Barrovecchio waved it off without a count and it took some time before Price could be revived and get to his feet, while Teper´s fans danced and cheered.

Early in the first, the writing was on the wall. Teper, soft looking but hard punching, came forward and stunned Price with a right hook that also cut him around the left eye. Price fought well but Teper was in his face all the time and it was as if David couldn´t handle the pressure.

For Price the way back is very long, while Teper can look forward to some good fights. He´s not very stylish but again, he can punch.

It´s not just Teper that entered the scene - say hello to Z! Promotions as well. They have a small but interesting stable with SKY TV televising on a pay per view basis.

They gambled big on this fight by winning the purse bids over Sauerland Event and came home a winner in every way.

At the rules meeting last night a big conflict erupted where Team Price refused the gloves, ten ounce Adidas, suggested by the promoter but the EBU rules state the promoter can select the gloves and after a lengthy discussion where it even looked as if the fight would be called off the dispute was settled and Teper vs Price was on.

Christian Lewandowiski (5-0) knocked out Spaniard Gabriel Enguema (5-2) in the fourth of a heavyweight fight scheduled for eight. It was an interesting fight between two talented but green fighters where Lewandowski gradually took over landing with hard one-two combinations. In the fourth Lewandowski hurt Enguema with a right and he stumbled backwards and then went down on one knee. After the count the fight resumed and Christian scored with two 1-2 combos and Enguema was hurt for real in this second knockdown and it was waved over without a count at 2.18.

Franz Rill (10-0) outscored British veteran Paul Butlin (16-3) over eight, also at heavyweight, winning every round. Rill, like the Lewandowskis trained by former EBU champ Oktay Urkal, mixed his attacks well and Butlin was stunned several times but knew how to survive and used his weight well to smother his opponent. Butlin finished the fight with a bad cut over the left eye and kept complaining about  headbutts but it appeared that Rill´s right did most of the damage.

Heavyweight Dennis Lewandowski (now 5-0) opened Z! Promotion´s show at the MHP Arena with a unanimous six round points win over durable Frenchman Jean Francois Traore (5-21). Lewandowski landed at times freely with big shots from both hands but the experienced and tough Traore also took him to school a bit and made him work hard for the win.

In the second fight David Radeff and Badri Traore clashed for the ISKA title at cruiser in martial arts fight and for the record Traore won a split decision after five hardfought rounds of kicking and attempts to box.
