Rising super welterweight prospect Erickson Lubin is on course for a similar blueprint to what was enjoyed during his rookie year in the pro ranks. The 19-year old Floridian—coming off of an ESPN2-televised eight-round points win over Michael Finney on Friday in Biloxi, Miss.—is due to return to action exactly four weeks later in Las Vegas, BoxingScene.com has learned.

"March 6, we're heading to Vegas," Lubin informed BoxingScene.com shortly after his win over late sub Finney. "I'll keep fighting every month if I can."

The March 6 show is also slated to air live on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights, serving as the kickoff to a big fight weekend in store for Al Haymon, adviser to Lubin and roughly 160 more fighters. The low-profile boxing powerbroker is set to launch his Premiere Boxing Champions series on March 7, to air live on NBC ("PBC on NBC") from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

An opponent has not yet been announced for Lubin (9-0, 6KOs), who will fight in Las Vegas for the first time in his young career.

Hopefully better luck will come in nailing down a fighter to stand opposite corner. Finney was essentially Plan C, accepting the fight on 24 hours notice to replace Rodolfo Quintanilla, who hit a snag with his medical paperwork that couldn't be resolved in time to clear the Mexican boxer to fight. Quintanilla himself was called in to replace originally targeted opponent Edgar Ortega.

Once deemed the best shot for the U.S. to nab a Gold medal in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, Lubin instead opted to turn pro, signing with Mike Tyson's Iron Mike Productions on on his 18th birthday in Oct. '13. His pro debut came that following November, with seven more fights jammed into an active 2014 rookie season.

Iron Mike Productions—initially a merger between Tyson's corporation and Acquinity Sports—disbanded late last year, with former Acquinity CEO Garry Jonas still taking the lead on nearly all of the fighters he brought to the company. Lubin—who is still managed by Henry Rivalta—signed with Haymon shortly thereafter, a perfect fit given his desire to fight often and with Haymon's plans for multiple boxing series on several networks.
