Eric Morel (46-2, 23KOs) could consider moving up to 122 pounds is he doesn't secure a bantamweight title shot in the first half of 2012. Morel was very upset after learning that Mexico's Jorge' Travieso 'Arce scheduled a defense of his WBO bantamweight title against Lorenzo Parra for February 18th. Morel may face WBA champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno in April.

"This opportunity they gave to Parra should have been for me, but Arce is afraid of me. I would have gone, without any problems, to Durango, Mexico [to fight Arce]. He knows that I would cause him a lot of problems and that I hit hard. If I can't get him in 2012, then Anselmo Moreno. I saw him fight and I wasn't impressed at all. But if nobody wants to fight me, I have to go up to 122. I'm not wasting my time," he said.
