There has been no prospect in boxing who's had the work rate of welterweight Ed Brown the past year or so. Since May of 2015 he has fought fifteen time as he's built his record to a gaudy 18-0 (15 KO's). After fighting on July 30th (where he scored a six round decision over Gilbert Venegas) he returns back to action next month.

"He's fighting on September 30th in Chicago and then we're going to have another date right after that," said Brown's manager, Cameron Dunkin.

This card will take place at the UIC Forum and will feature Mike Lee, who will face Chris Traietti for the vacant USBA light heavyweight title. This show will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.

Soon, Brown will be stepping up in class.

"We're looking to get him a big fight but until we close on something we're going to keep him busy like this," explained Dunkin. "We'll come across something soon. We were talking about putting him on TV last week, we're going to get something big for him. Till we do, we'll keep getting him fights."

Dunkin says that Brown is now on the radar of television executives.

"The TV people know who he is and people talk about him. He needs to get a fight with a significant guy and beat him where everybody goes, 'Oh my goodness, did you see Ed Brown?' Then he'll be in. I told him that and he said, 'Cameron, I'm ready to tell me who I'm fighting and when. I'm there.'"
