Super middleweight contender Dyah Davis (21-3, 9KOs), has informed BoxingScene that he had to pull out of his scheduled return to the ring this Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“I suffered an injury in sparring last week.  I’ve been keeping quiet about it, hoping I'd heal and be 100% by today at the latest, but I have to be honest with myself,” he said.

“I'm not 100% healed nor even close to it.”

Davis has been out of action since his defeat to recently crowned WBC champion Sakio Bika, in June 2012.

“I was very excited for this one man, it felt like my debut all over again.”
