Rising Star Promotions in Association with Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia, DHH Promotions, TCMFB Boxing and Millions.Co are bringing boxing back to D.C. on Sept. 4 with Beltway Battles: The Inauguration, the first in a series of events to be held at the District’s  Entertainment & Sports Arena.

With local favorite Dusty Hernandez Harrison sidelined with an injury, the 8-round, super middleweight bout between Demond Nicholson and Decarlo Perez has been elevated to the main event. Millions.Co, the leading social commerce and video platform connection for the sports world and its networks of athletes, is the Pay Per View provider for the event.

It’s a high-stakes fight for both fighters.  Both have faced top-tier contenders, and both fighters know that a win could put them back in the mix for a big opportunity.

Hailing from Laurel, Md., Nicholson (24-4-1, 20KO) is coming off the most high-profile fight of his career. Nicholson ended Edgar Berlanga’s first-round knockout streak on ESPN in April, taking Berlanga the distance for the first time as a professional. A win could mean another crack at a top prospect or contender, and potentially a future shot at a title.

Atlantic City’s Decarlo Perez (17-6-1, 5KO), survived a knockdown to win a unanimous decision over his hometown rival, Antowyan Aikens, in his last fight in Sept. 2018. The bout earned him the New Jersey State Super Middleweight Title, but canceled bouts and the Covid-19 pandemic kept him from the ring until now.  Undeterred, Perez remained in the gym, and is hungry for a win over Nicholson.  Perez has fought a number of undefeated prospects and contenders, and boasts wins over Lanell Bellows and Tyrone Brunson.

Tickets for Beltway Battles are priced $132/84/53, and are available at ticketmaster.com.  Doors to the Entertainment & Sports Arena open at 6:00 p.m., and first bell is at 7:00 p.m.  The Millions.co pay-per-view live stream will be priced at $10, and will begin at 9:00 p.m. EST.
